Monteverdi impresses on debut at Newbury

Monteverdi ran out an impressive winner of his debut maiden at Newbury this afternoon in the manner of a colt destined for stakes company in 2016.  Purchased for €72,000 at the Arqana October Yearling Sale last year by Bloodstock Agency Limited and subsequently re-sold by Tally Ho Stud at the Tattersalls Craven Breeze-Up Sale, Monteverdi looks an exciting prospect for trainer Jamie Osborne and owner Michael Buckley.
